International Conference on Food Waste Management  

July 19-20, 2021, in Helsinki, Finland 

The International Research Conference is a federated organization that is committed to assembling many diverse scholarly events to be presented within the framework of the two-day gathering.  Students, academics, and industry researchers will attend this event which focuses on bringing together leading academic scientists, researchers, and research scholars enabling them to exchange and share their experiences and research results on the various aspects of Food Waste Management. 

Additionally, the conference provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns that exist while being cognizant of the practical challenges encountered and solutions that have been and will be adopted in the field of Food Waste Management. 

There are additional dates for conferences on Food Waste Management in the future scheduled bi-annually in 2022 and 2023 in both Tokyo and Helsinki.   

 

Media Borough Initiative: Curbside Composting 

Yard Waste and Food Composting Starting July 2021 

The Media (PA) Borough is launching a curbside Yard Waste and Food Composting program for their community as of July 1, 2021.  The Media Borough is encouraging their residents to participate in the program identifying the benefits of composting as helping to save the planet and save money by keeping composted materials out of the incinerators and landfills.  Also composting helps reduce the amount of trash that is collected by the borough.  Directions for the Yard Waste and Food Compost Program are found on their website.
