Imagine a world where no child goes to bed hungry.
A world in which food banks do not exist.
A world with no food waste.
This can happen. But we need your help.
F4 is ending hunger in America. We connect restaurants, universities, caterers, hospitals, and other sources who have excess food to homeless shelters and individuals in need so that they can re-purpose this food for distribution.
We also connect with companies, churches, organizations, and any other types of groups to collaborate and host a non-perishable food drive for local food banks, pantries, and cupboards that feed the hungry.
It’s the culmination of the efforts of hundreds of volunteers.
And it needs an army.
Hunger is everywhere.
In 2019, 34 million people lived in poverty in America[1]. A significant percentage of these people are children. And when children are hungry, it affects wider society.
- How’s your patience when hungry? For many of us, it’s non-existent.
- Have you tried studying when hungry? It’s incredibly difficult.
- Do you sleep when hungry? It’s hard.
This is the reality for millions of people, and millions of children. They leave school without getting the education they deserve. They live a life constantly thinking about the next meal.
We can change this. Here’s how you can help:
- Reduce your food waste. Edible food is unnecessarily thrown away daily. Buy what you need and use as much of it as you can.
- Support an organization like F4. We’re on the ground, giving people the food, they need. We would not be here without our sponsors and partners.
- Educate yourself and others about food insecurity and hunger. The more people know about it, the greater the change.
If you are reading this, thank you. Together we can change the world and eradicate hunger.
